Back in March of this year, we launched our conversion kit for the 97xx Condensing Pannier. It is pleasing to report that it has sold very well, far more than the 11 prototypes that the Great Western built.
One customer, Ray Plassard, has sent us the attached photographs of his completed model, and I am sure you will admire it as much as we have done. He has finished it with the 1930s GW Roundel on the tank sides, as he has a picture of the engine at Old Oak Common shed in 1961, still bearing the roundel. This means that it had gone from the late 1930s to the 1960s without a repaint, over 20 years………
