Just in time for the Guildford show on the 26th November, we received the first prototype of our forthcoming RTR Great Western Siphon.
The base model is to Dia.033, but parts are included to make either Dia.059 with roof vents. or the BR built Dia.062 with side ventilators. Three different sizes of battery boxes are also in the box, the prototypes seemed to have these fitted at random, and in one photo, not at all!!
Four different liveries will be available, GW brown with 16″ lettering, BR Carmine, BR Maroon and also post 1960s BR Blue.
The final price is expected to be around £190, but due to exchange rate variations, this may not be the final figure. Customers who have placed advance orders will receive their models at the price valid when they ordered.
Finally delivery is expected around Spring 2023, and we hope to have them at Railex, Aylesbury on the Bank Holiday weekend.
